Real Madrid has recently needed to employ financial tools, like Barça, according to 2PlayBook, which Mundo Deportivo has taken over. Real Madrid would have faced a deficit of 170 million euros last season if Florentino Perez (president) had not given Sixth Street and Legends a 30% management stake in the "new" Bernabeu.
Thanks to the sale of 30% of the assets to new firms for the new Bernabéu, the club saw a capital gain of 316 million. According to 2PlayBook, "The club used the opportunity to pay the increase in the wage bill and depreciate assets for a total of 133.26 million."
